The Electronic Security Association of Missouri is a statewide non-profit organization representing the burglar alarm, fire alarm, access control and camera industry. As a Chartered State Association of the National Electronic Security Association, Missouri Burglar and Fire Alarm Association and its members benefit from both the local and national recognition with government agencies, and in joining together to create a united voice in the electronic security industry.

Code of Ethics

About ESA Missouri Code of Ethics

The following Code of Ethics is intended to protect customers, potential customers, general public and/or each other from unethical business practices by any member of the Electronic Security Association of Missouri.

Each member shall:

  1. Not knowingly make any untruthful or misleading statements in sales presentations, in its ads, or under any other circumstances.
  2. Not use scare tactics during a sales presentation or during any other form of communications with a customer, prospective customer, or the general public; nor shall is use undue pressure in setting up an appointment or in consummating a sale.
  3. Not make any disparaging remarks to its customer, prospective customers, and/or the general public about its competitors by name or competitive products brand.
  4. Make all installations in a workmanlike manner.
  5. Assume the ultimate responsibility of servicing its installations and perform service within a reasonable time from the time the  customer requests service.
  6. Cooperate with any requests made by government agencies.

The President

Jeff Herdman, General Manager of Alarm Central LLC, a CSAA Five Diamond Certified Central Station began his career as an operator in 1999. He advanced quickly to the Central Station Manager in 2006. In August of 2016, Jeff took over as General Manager. Since then he has overseen the relocation, expansion, and systems upgrade of Alarm Central which was completed in December of 2017. Jeff became president of the Missouri Burglar and Fire Alarm Association in 2020.
